A thank you card people call back about

A thank you card is usually the same templated PDF everyone in the batch gets. Print, sign, done, and most people forget it by the next morning. For Isaivu, I designed something else. Each card has the customer's own name stitched by hand into the paper, thread and all, sitting next to a handwritten note from Saruja herself. It stayed a small thing until I heard what happens after. Saruja told me customers call her back, sometimes long after the order has already shipped, just to say thank you for the card itself. Not only for the work but also for the card. She said it gives them a fresh mind, the kind of thing that actually stays with someone. I will be honest about where the credit sits. The idea and the stitched name are mine. The reason it lands is her own handwriting on it, a real note, not a printed line pretending to be one. Neither half works without the other It also became something repeatable for her, not a gesture she can only pull off once. Every customer gets their own name, their own note, held together by the same structure underneath. The best packaging does not just wrap a product. It gives someone a reason to call back after the box is already empty. #Printdesign
